Since then Barretstown have continued to become a state of the art, world-class centre for Therapeutic Recreation or as the kids say – “a place where some Serious Fun happens”.

The Eithne & Paddy Fitzpatrick Memorial Fund recently engaged in a five year commitment with Barretstown to sponsor the Outdoor Activity and Dining Area of the camps new Dining Hall.
An Introduction to Barretstown
The Memorial Fund has been involved in a number of projects over the years including the purchase of two MPVs to transport the kids and their families, the refurbishment and operation of the Nature Room and Crèche, the child sponsorship program, the development of the Quiet Room in the new Multipurpose Activity Center, the building of the children’s cottage and an outdoor theatre, to name a few.
They believe that every child with a serious illness should enjoy their childhood.
