The Pathway Bursary Fund provides annual financial support to students who come to Queen’s through the Pathway Opportunity Programme (POP) POP is an initiative that runs in school across Northern Ireland to encourage and support young people, who face socioeconomic barriers, to access higher education.
Thanks to philanthropic support, students currently receive an annual bursary which enables them to thrive at Queen’s. For many, the bursary eases financial pressures, helping to pay for groceries and study materials and contributing towards rent or travel costs.
The bursary also reduces the need for students to work excessive part-time hours, allowing them to focus on their studies and enjoy their time as a student by joining societies, or taking part in social activities and study trips.
